Event Details

For the third year The Crescent-News is hosting a tasting event to compliment its annual Recipe Challenge Contest. Each year hundreds of recipes are submitted from all over to be one of the few chosen for their share of the $1,500 in cash prizes.  Judges painstakingly review all of the submissions before selecting a group of finalists in each category.  Be a part of this year's challenge and join with friends and neighbors to taste the winning recipes.  

The Recipe Challenge Tasting Event is scheduled for Wednesday November 7, 2018 and will take place at the K of C Hall.  The doors will open at 5:00 pm and festivities will begin promptly at 6 pm

The Winners of the contest will be announced at the event, and every guest will receive a full dinner-sized portion of each of the recipes.  Food will be professionally prepared by Bavarian Catering and will be served to seated guests.

To prepare for this year's event the judges will meet with the finalists in advance to taste their recipes.  They will determine the winners and only a select few will hold the secret until the Recipe Challenge public event on November 7th.

Tickets to the event are $25.  In addition to dinner, each guest will receive a goodie bag with some swag, and sponsor offers. 

PLUS guests will have a chance to  win the Grand Prize Drawing and thousands of dollars in prizes donated by the sponsors. What's even better about winning prizes is that participation in event extras help support the event Charity Partner- Fort Defiance Humane Society. Guests can purchase 50/50 tickets and take home some cash, participate in a Heads and Tails Game and a Chinese Auction to support the Fort Defiance Humane Society.
